Accomplishments

None of these would have been possible without a strong team. It has been my privilege to build, lead, and work with teams of dedicated professionals.

  • creation of a number of publishing platforms, e.g. Scholarly Editions; previously also brill.com; bibliographies, primary sources, and others
  • creation of academic publishing as code, i.e. a GitLab based workflow and publishing system
  • creation of an ecosystem of tools: ETL scripts, pipelines, widgets, etc.
  • creation of a research data service where data is visualized in research papers and can be queried and processed directly from those papers
  • editorial organization and publication of large reference works
  • successful funding applications for larger and smaller public/private projects
